chocolat

i stopped by a new chocolatier, marie&freres" the other day for some "minimally produced" chocolates: in normal everyday speech? super dark chocolate.
the 80% bar is so tasty even for my childish choco taste bud (yes, im usually the milk choco kind). i even got to try the 100% cacao bean! its actually rather refreshing, definitely not as bitter as i expected. but the real show stopper is the chocolate macaron that brings a little bit of la maison du chocolat to seattle. the owner told me she has them especially made for the store.. from? oh yeah, the pastry chef who made the killer millefeuille for my birthday dinner!!
