summer trippin' part I- 鬼怒川 kinugawa

we're back from a short short trip to jp! oh how i've missed the country, its been 2 years since i've visited. its one of our fam's fav vacational spots. we try to visit new places in the country everytime we go. usually we just 5spend a couple of days in central tokyo but this time, we divided our time between the city and countryside.

our first night was spent at an hot spring hotel at 鬼怒川 (kinugawa). the direct translation of the characters basically means: the stream of angry ghost.
how lovely.
we joked about how the entire experience just reminds us of conan edogawa- a japanese detective comic. he is a high schooler who turned into a boy after an terrorist accident. somehow he and his friends always witness these crazy murder cases, including one that happened at a hot spring hotel. i was quite easily spooked during our stay.
